  • Martha's Outfitters
    Martha's Outfitters is a branch of Martha's Table. Martha’s Outfitters is a community thrift store in the U Street Corridor. They provide free clothing, linens and household items to individuals and families in need. Proceeds from purchases support the larger mission of Martha’s Table. In order to be eligible for free items from Martha's Outfitters, the individual must a referral letter from the bishop or Relief Society president. The letter should be on church letterhead and include the person's name, date of birth, address, and need.

  • InterFaith Conference of Metropolitan Washington
    The Greater Washington, D.C. Emergency Services Directory is an online database of approximately 400 service providers of a variety of resources including clothing and employment/job training. To begin your search, go to this link and select the service(s) and region(s) of interest.

  • Bread for the City
    Bread for the City’s Clothing Room is located at their Southeast Center. Casual and professional clothing is available for children and adults of all ages. Additional household items and books are often available. Clients may visit the clothing room once each week.

  • Far Southeast Family Strengthening Collaborative

  • Foundry Methodist Church
    Friday mornings this location holds a clothing closet exchange open to the public from 9:00 - 11:00 a.m. The items are mostly new or gently used menswear but some family clothing can be found. For more information, email foundryumc@foundryumc.org or call 202-332-4010

  • Interfaith Clothing Center
    The Interfaith Clothing Center in Rockville provides low-income families with clothing and home goods free of charge, allowing them to use more of their resources on food, rent, utilities, medicine, and other basic needs.

  • Shepherd's Table
    Shepherd's Table provides clean, gently-used clothing for all seasons to their guests. While here, clients can select from clothing, books for adults and children, children’s toys, handbags and other accessories. Selection may be limited based on supply. They also offer shower facilities, new underwear and socks, clean towels, deodorant, and other toiletries.
